Debra W. Stinson

Debra Stinson joined Spire’s predecessor, Lane Hospitality, in March 2001.  As the vice president of human resources, she is responsible for formulating policies and procedures for recruitment, placement, compensation, training, position classification, and labor relations.  Stinson developed and implemented Spire’s IDP Program, a mentorship program which serves to provide a logical and structured framework for assessing and addressing the needs of the associate and the organization resulting in a best merger of individual goals with organizational needs. 

Prior to joining Lane, Stinson was employed by the City of Chicago for 14 years.  While the majority of her tenure was in the capacity of director of human resources, Stinson’s most recent appointment was deputy director of business services for the Department of Revenue where she had oversight responsibility for business license issuance for the entire city.   

She has over 30 years of human resources experience in the hospitality, government and health care industries.  She obtained her B.S. degree from Chicago State University and her M.S. degree from National Louis University.  In addition, Stinson holds an honorary doctorate degree from St. Michael’s Institute.
